Amir Khan wants to Fight at 147lbs after the Capital Showdown Fight

Amir Khan, the IBF and WBA light welterweight champion, wants to fight in the 147lbs after the "Capital Showdown: Khan vs Peterson" on December 10, 2011 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. Khan also said that this might be his last fight but if the right fight will come, he will still stay at 140lbs.

In the 140lbs, Khan said that if don't get any fights then he will move up to 147lbs. There are bis names in the 147lbs division that he is interested like Berto, Mayweather and Ortiz. But if the right fight will come at 140lbs with opponents like Bradley and Morales then he will stay.

He is planning to make his move to welterweight next year. Amir Khan like to face like Berto when he move at the 147lbs division.

    Amir Khan (26-1, 18 KO) will fight Lamont Peterson (29-1-1, 15 KO) on December 10 at Walter E Washington Convention Center Washington, D.C.. Khan (26-1, 18 KO) holds the WBA’s “super” title in addition to the IBF belt, and is regarded as one of the two best in the 140-pound division, alongside Bradley, who dropped out of a July fight with Khan and is currently tied up in a legal dispute with his former promoters.

    Peterson became the mandatory challenger to the IBF title that Khan won from Zab Judah on July 23, by winning his own fight against Victor Cayo six days later. Peterson (29-1-1, 15 KO) has only lost to Timothy Bradley, who is currently AWOL for all intents and purposes, and he drew Victor Ortiz last December on the Khan vs Maidana undercard, coming off the canvas and fighting his way back into the bout against the man who will now face Floyd Mayweather Jr on Saturday night.
