Amir Khan, the IBF and WBA light welterweight champion, wants to fight in the 147lbs after the "Capital Showdown: Khan vs Peterson" on December 10, 2011 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. Khan also said that this might be his last fight but if the right fight will come, he will still stay at 140lbs.
In the 140lbs, Khan said that if don't get any fights then he will move up to 147lbs. There are bis names in the 147lbs division that he is interested like Berto, Mayweather and Ortiz. But if the right fight will come at 140lbs with opponents like Bradley and Morales then he will stay.

Khan vs Peterson Undercard: Mitchell will meet his toughest opponent yet in Ibragimov
When heavyweight prospect Seth Mitchell of Brandywine, MD., takes on Timur Ibragimov of Uzbekistan on Dec. 10, he will be facing the most difficult challenge of his career.
The 36-year-old Ibragimov (30-3-1, 16 KOs) is coming off a split-decision loss to former cruiserweight titleholder Jean Marc Mormeck (36-4, 22 KOs) in December, which ended his winning streak of nine straight victories, including three stoppages.
Ibragimov's biggest win was perhaps his unanimous decision in June of last year over Oliver McCall, whose fifth-round knockout of Lennox Lewis earned him the vacant WBC title in February of 1997.

Washington, DC - "Capital Showdown: Khan vs. Peterson" just got more exciting with the announcement that undefeated American heavyweight Seth "Mayhem" Mitchell will make his HBO debut against tough contender Timur Ibragimov in the co-featured bout to the Unified Super Lightweight World Championship between champion Amir "King" Khan and No. 1-rated IBF Contender and Washington, DC's own Lamont Peterson. The event, which marks the return of big time boxing to the nation's capital, is set to take place Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and will be televised live on HBO's World Championship Boxing.
"I'm definitely excited to be fighting back at home in front of my fans and on a big stage as the co-main event on HBO," said Mitchell. "Ibragimov is my toughest opponent yet on paper, as far as his record and the quality of opposition that he has faced.
